Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Beltstra (the "Service"), operated by Beltstra Co, a sole proprietorship based in Aubrey, Texas, USA ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

Beltstra is a web app for people who collect, trade and sell trading cards. Today it does these things:

• Scanning and pricing. You photograph a card or a binder page; the app identifies the cards and shows a market price for each. Prices are market estimates, not offers.
• Your collection and binders. Cards you keep go into your collection, arranged in binders page by page, with the photos and notes you choose to keep on them.
• Sharing. You can share a binder by link, list it on Explore, and post a show table so people at a card show can find you. What you share is visible to anyone with the link or on those pages; see section 3.
• Selling for others. You can track cards you sell for other people (a consignor, a friend sharing your table), each person's share of a sale, and what you have paid them; each person gets their own no-login page.
• The Piggy Bank. A record of the cash from your card sales and what you spent it on.
• Buys between members. A vendor can price another member's binder pages and record a cash buy.
• Slab Guard orders. Physical card protectors sold through our shop (section 7).

You use the Service in a web browser or installed on your phone's home screen. You sign in by email and password, or with your Google account (and with Apple where we offer it). Some features need a paid plan or the free trial; the Pricing page says which.

2. Your account

You must be 13 or older to use the Service, and 18 or older to buy a paid plan, place an order, or use any feature that records money (selling for others, the Piggy Bank, buys). If you are between 13 and 18, use the Service only with a parent or guardian's permission and without the money features. One person per account; keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend accounts that show sharing, automated abuse, or use against section 6.

3. Your content and what you share

You own what you put into the Service: your photos, your collection, your binders, your notes and your records. By choosing to share something (a binder link, an Explore listing, a show table, a person's no-login page), you give us permission to display it to the people you shared it with, for as long as you keep it shared, and to make the copies needed to do that (for example a smaller picture for a phone screen). Stop sharing and we stop displaying it. Anyone with a shared link can see what that page shows: the cards, their pictures and market prices, the binder's name and your first name if you set one; never what you paid, your cash or your email address. We store the photos you keep on your cards and the pictures you upload until you remove them or delete your account; the Privacy Policy says what is kept and for how long.

4. Money figures are your records

Prices, values, profit, what people owe you and what you owe them, and every other money figure in the Service are records you keep with our tools. We work them out from what you type and from market data that can be wrong or out of date. You are responsible for checking them against your own records before you pay anyone, charge anyone, or rely on them. Beltstra is not a party to your sales, trades, consignments or buys, holds no money for you, and does not move money between members. Any payment between you and another person is between the two of you.

5. Early access

Beltstra is in early access. Features may change, be renamed or be removed, screens may look different from one week to the next, and we do not promise uptime. We keep nightly backups of your data, but you should keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose: every ledger and your collection can be exported as a file at any time. Our Early Access page says what this means in practice and how to reach us when something goes wrong.

6. Acceptable use

Use the Service lawfully and only for legitimate collecting, buying, selling and cataloguing of cards you are entitled to trade. Do not use it to infringe anyone's rights, misrepresent items, break a marketplace's rules, scrape or overload the Service, or get at other people's data. Shared pages are for showing your cards; do not use them to publish other people's personal information.

7. Plans, orders and the Merchant of Record

Paid plans are sold through our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, who handles payment, billing, tax collection and payment-related customer inquiries; your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. Plans are auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly or annual) that renew at the listed price until cancelled. You may cancel anytime by emailing us (or by replying to your Paddle receipt) and keep access for the period already paid. Each plan includes a scan allowance over rolling windows as described on the Pricing page; unused scans do not roll over. See our Refund Policy for refunds. Physical accessories (Slab Guards) are sold separately through Stripe and shipped by us; they are not part of a plan. We do not sell cards, sealed product, packs, or any random-chance or gambling product.

8. Your data

You can export your collection and your ledgers from the app at any time, and delete your account from Account > Delete account (or by emailing us). What deletion removes and what it keeps is explained on our account deletion page and in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer

The Service, its card identifications, prices and money figures are provided "as is" and "as available", for convenience, and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unavailable. To the extent permitted by law we give no warranties of any kind.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing. We are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or a payment you made or missed in reliance on a figure in the Service.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Denton County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your own courts.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version and "last updated" date above change when we do, and the app asks you to accept a new version the next time you sign in. Changed on 17 October 2026: section 1 now describes what the Service does today (binders, sharing, selling for others, the Piggy Bank, buys, Slab Guards) instead of the original scanner-only product; sign-in by email, Google and Apple replaced license tokens; photos you keep are stored (they used to be deleted after every scan); sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 11 are new.
