Deleting your Beltstra account

What goes, what stays and why, and how to ask.

How to delete

In the app: open Account, scroll to Delete account, type DELETE and confirm. It happens at once. If you are on a paid plan, cancel it first (email us or reply to your Paddle receipt) so you are never charged for an account that is gone. If you cannot sign in, email soliskenny2@gmail.com from the account's own email address and we delete it within 2 business days and confirm by email. We cannot act on a request from a different address.

What is removed

• Your collection, binders, pockets, and the photos kept on your cards.
• Cards you skipped while scanning and their photos; your avatar; your scan uploads.
• Friends (both directions), friend codes, links and requests; gifts still waiting.
• Shared binder links and their visit counts, your Explore listing, your show table.
• Badges, level and XP, activity, hunts, picks and guesses, battles, compliments.
• Push notification subscriptions, the morning email setting, price-change notes.
• Your eBay connection (the token eBay gave us), pack-check lines and listing links.
• Buys you recorded, Slab Guard slots, hand-offs you made, grading checks.
• Your account itself: email, password, name, and any sign-in codes.

What stays, and why

• Money records (sales, Piggy Bank entries, payouts, the people you sold for and their shares) stay, with your email replaced by a stand-in that cannot be turned back into you. The other side of each sale belongs to someone else's records (the person whose card you sold, the friend you sent money to), and those records must still add up for them.
• Your plan record (which plan, until when) stays for billing and tax, as the law requires. Paddle and Stripe keep their own payment records under their own policies.
• Backups: the server's encrypted backups keep a copy for 7 nightly and 4 weekly cycles, so a deleted account leaves them within about five weeks.
• Error and visit reports (Sentry, PostHog) only ever had coded ids, never your name or email.

Before you delete

Everything leaves with you first if you want it: from the app, download your collection, your sales, your Piggy Bank, your payouts and your buys as spreadsheet files (CSV). Deletion cannot be undone.
